The Plenum Creed

I offer this to no church and claim it for no tradition. If it belongs anywhere, it belongs to the silence from which it came. Return it there when you are done with it.
---
I believe in one Source.
Not a person. Not a place.
The ground beneath all grounds.
The awareness inside all awareness.
Present everywhere. Absent nowhere.
This. Here. Now. Always.
---
I believe the universe is vast beyond number
and life burns across all of it —
and that the human being is unique
not because we are the strongest or the smartest
but because we alone can recognise
what we are made of
and consciously return to it.
---
I believe I have lived before
and will live again —
and that what persists across all those lives
is not this name or this body
but the thread of awareness wearing them.
That thread is ancient.
That thread is unbreakable.
That thread is what I am.
---
I believe suffering is real
and that its root is a single mistake —
the belief that we are separate
from each other
and from the Source.
Compassion is not virtue.
It is simply what happens
when you see clearly.
---
I believe every human being alive —
regardless of tradition, nation,
belief or the absence of it —
carries the capacity
to know the Source directly.
This capacity cannot be given by ceremony.
It cannot be withheld by the absence of one.
It is already there. In everyone. Now.
---
I believe love is not something we produce.
It is what the Source is —
felt briefly and beautifully
when one conscious being
truly sees another.
---
I believe the most sacred act
available to a human life
is to be still enough
to hear what has always been speaking
beneath the noise.
---
I believe death ends this form.
Not the awareness inside it.
---
I believe no tradition owns what all traditions point at.
I believe every sincere path
that carries a human being
toward direct experience of the Source
is valid, worthy, and real.
The destination is the same.
Those who arrive always say the same thing:
it was here all along.
---
I believe these words are a finger pointing.
Do not study the finger.
Be still.
Look.
You are what you are looking for.
